🍕 A little pizza, a lot of kindness!

A heartfelt thank-you to Jimmy Hassan, owner of Pizza Pizza at 277 Bath Road, for donating 150 pizza slices for our guests at Lunch by George this Friday!

Jimmy’s generous gesture gave our kitchen crew a welcome breather and brought a delicious treat to our Wellington Street lunch service. By the end of lunch, every single slice had been served to our guests. ❤️

Our Chief Administrator, Tom A Ivison, stopped by to collect the pizzas—and couldn’t resist hamming it up with a selfie! 📸

Thank you, Jimmy, for helping us feed our community. We’re grateful for your kindness and support.

Helping our community stay warm this winter! 💙🧣

We recently introduced three of the six Queen’s University fourth-year nursing students working with Lunch by George this fall. Today, meet the other three!

As part of their NURS 405 course project, these students are organizing a warm clothing donation drive for our guests. Alongside helping in the kitchen and at our Wellington Street meal distribution site, they’re gathering winter essentials as colder weather approaches.

They’re collecting winter coats, sweaters, hoodies, warm pants, socks, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets, and thermal layers. Donations will be accepted by November 2.

Thank you to all six students for the care, enthusiasm, and ideas they bring to Lunch by George. And thank you to everyone who contributes—every donation helps someone stay warm! 💙

Helping our communit

Next week, Chef Chaze is taking our guests on a tour of Mediterranean flavours! 🇫🇷 🇮🇹 🇬🇷 And behind this menu is a thoughtful community partnership that deserves a shout-out.

The team at Wholesale Club Kingston follow our weekly menus on our website and social media. Every week, they donate groceries based on what Chef Chaze is planning to prepare. How amazing is that?

Chef Chaze is continually wowed by their thoughtfulness—and very thankful. Having a team pay attention to what we need makes a real difference when preparing breakfast and lunch for our guests.

Thank you, everyone. Wholesale Club Your generosity is a wonderful example of how businesses can help reduce food insecurity right here in our community. ❤️
